Office of the Auditor General

The Office of the Auditor General exists to support the State Legislature and Federal Government in meeting their constitutional responsibilities and to help improve the performance and accountability of government.

Quality Control/Peer Review

The OAG is required to maintain a system of quality control to assure adherence to auditing standards in the conduct of its audits, the reporting of audit results, and the administration of the professional aspects of the OAG.

One element of that system of quality control is an external quality control review or "peer review" which must be conducted once every three years. The OAG has participated in the peer review process since the inception of the Office and has continually received unqualified reports on its system of quality control and adherence to professional standards.
